AmDry panels are OSB subfloor panels designed to be installed on a basement slab. The panels are the only one of its kind on the market with an integrated moisture, mold, and mildew resistant surface film. In addition, the panels are designed with raised drainage and air circulation channels. A one-step insulated subfloor system, AmDry panels significantly reduce slab moisture and temperature fluctuations that can lead to mold and mildew problems.
By combining high quality EPS foam insulation laminated to OSB edge grooved surface board, AmDry provides quality insulation that is more energy efficient than other products. The panels are available in R-7, R-9, and R-11 variations and provide a continuous thermal break across the entire concrete pad while allowing for moisture and air to move freely. The combination of deep drainage and air distribution channels allows for continuous air flow resulting in a drier basement. The unique connector system developed in these panels allows for quick installation and eliminates many problems commonly associated with tongue and groove joints such as squeaking floors and broken and damaged tongue and grooves which often occur during installation.
Some applications for this product include, concrete floors, garage floors, workshops, home theaters, exercise rooms, and play rooms. The product is being sold at Home Depot stores at a price around $20-$23 for the R-7 panels.
