Newport Attends DOE Presentation at National Building Museum

DOE's Ed Pollock Speaking at National Building MuseumNewport attended a speech by the US Department of Energy at the National Building Museum on June 8th.  The speech focused on the Building America research program, as well as how the Builders Challenge voluntary home labeling program can help builders market energy efficiency to their customers.  

DOE’s  Building America teams work with builders to experiment and test innovative building practices and install cutting-edge energy efficient technologies in homes. These research teams take a systems engineering approach when studing the effects different strategies have on eneryg use and occupant comfort in order to develop best practices and technical resources for builders, architects, and homeowners.
